Exhaler is a local band that I met in my first year of college when I worked on a short documentary about Lamont, the music school at the University of Denver. I had the chance to work with them on their first music video for their song "Where Were You When the Street Lamps Went Out" in my Producing the Music Video course. I worked alongside a team of 3 other film students to produce this video. We worked to capture the bands personality while keeping with their brand and visions. Through this project I built skills in pre-production especially in scouting locations and acquiring filming permits. I additionally created a look book for the project which outlined shot composition, filming techniques, and a storyboard. We also made a social media plan to help Exhaler promote the video. This project sparked my love for creating music videos and working with muscians. The relationship I built with Exhaler gave me opportunity to work with them on a second music video and collaborate with other local bands.
